SHEPHERDS PIE

A seasoning mix with herbs which quickly created a great tasting shepherd’s pie the whole family will enjoy

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 package Colman's shepherd's pie seasoning mix
  • 450 g lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 300 ml cold water
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 175 g frozen peas (optional)
  • 700 g cooked mashed potato

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Brown the meat and onions in a large pan. Drain excess fat.

  2. Mix the contents of package with the water and stir into the meat, add the carrots and peas. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, then transfer to an ovenproof dish.

  3. Spoon the mashed potato over the meat mixture and bake for 30 minutes.

  4. Enjoy with seasonal vegetables.
